Weekly recommendations #2

Hello there!

I read this book and fell in love with the Author, he's amazing! This is the first book that I have read by him and I loved it! He writes horrors and thrillers, he may even be one of my new favourite Authors! I have downloaded a few other books by him after I finished this one so sorry that all the books in this weeks recommendations are by him.. This book is about an outbreak of a virus.. you know what that means.. zombies, yay!!! It's actually really sad at times and I admit was close to tears (especially every bit with Lily in!), the zombies were the zombies that I love (fast) and it was full of suspense! Another thing I liked about this book is at the end of it you find out how it actually started and spread (he actually has a book about it called 'Sea sick' but I haven't read it yet)

I highly recommend this book but I recommend this Author more!
At the end of each book he also writes a page thanking you for reading it and it's really cute!

This book is the second book that I have read by this Author and I am still in love! I just love how he writes, if you like horrors and/or thrillers then you should definitely check out his books! I finished this one in half a day! I only put it down once and that was to eat! This one is about a guy called Andrew who doesn't by a pack of cigarettes for a gang that were hanging around outside his house, his life is turned upside down when the gang target him and his family. This is his latest novel, it is also full of suspense and very fast paced (you wont put it down!)
This book makes you think because it could easily happen to anyone. There are so many 'gangs' around full of teenagers who act tough in front of their mates these days. I think it's quite pathetic.
Everything in this book could easily happen.. that's why it's scary..

Onto the third book! I mentioned this one in the little paragraph I wrote about Ravage.. This is the book where it all started! If I was Jack(main character in this book) my frustration levels would be at an all time high! I just could not guess the reason until he realised it at the end, it was so obvious I don't know how I missed it! I don't know how he missed it either, he's a police officer! I love the way all the books I've read from this Author up to now are all linked together.. Jacks partner got murdered in ASBO and this book is the reason everything that happened in Ravage happened.

(After reading this book I downloaded another three books by this Author, I might as well call this post 'IAIN ROB WRIGHT')

Fourth book! This one is about a boy named Sam who is possessed, it is brilliant. The ending is not what you expect.. I'm not going to say much about this book because I don't want spoil it. I would recommend this book to everyone!
This book links back to Seasick and Ravage.
I can't get enough of this writer!

The book that I've just started is another book by Iain Rob Wright so sorry! (It's really good though!)

I watched this on Sunday with my boyfriend (mentioned in this post). It was Chris' idea to watch this (he had already seen it) and I absolutely love it! I cried a little too. I don't know why I hadn't seen this before but oh well..
If you don't know what it's about.. it's about a girl (right) called Merida (don't know if that's how you spell it) who gets help from a witch and accidentally changes her mother into a bear (she just wanted to change her mother so she didn't make her get married) and has to undo the spell herself before it's too late.

The fifth book! Oh my..
This book is crazy (or as Jess says- craaaaaaayzeee). It's an apocalyptic horror, but it's not about zombies.. It's about angels, the devil and God etc. It's actually quite creepy and scary at times.. It is a very good book though. I reeeally can't get over how good this writer is.. I have 4 books of his left to read and then I've read all his books! Mad! He is definitely one of my favourite writers now! (If not my favourite!)
It starts with a 'snowstorm' all around the world, even the deserts are covered in snow and it doesn't stop falling.. people start seeing a really tall man in a long hooded cloak outside in the snow.. He is an angel and with the rest of the angels and the hounds of hell they come to earth to collect 'The Sinner'
But will they get him?
Read to find out! ;)

This is the most I've read in a week in a while.. sorry that all the books are from the same Author!

  2. Hi Danielle :)

Ravage sounds like a great read, I haven't got stuck into a horror for AGES! So it's well overdue :)

I'm currently going through a few classics, like Sons & Lovers and To Kill a Mockingbird. Have you checked any of these out? :)
