Life || Relaxation

People relax in different ways, just like people react to stress in different ways. I am a person who gets stressed very easy so I thought that I would share with you the things that calm me down and relax me.


The first one is lighting scented candles/ using wax melts/ burning oils, I find it so calming watching a flame flicker and breathing in the amazing scents (lavender being my all time favourite!)



Reading a book has got to be one of my favourite ways, I've just finished the first Red Dwarf book and I absolutely loved it (thank you to my boyfriend who kindly lent me it, next one please :D). There is nothing more relaxing, to me, than curling up under a blanket and reading a good book.


Listening to jazz/blues is what I do sometimes when I'm feeling very stressed and I can't get into a book, my favourite is Ella Fitzgerald I love all of her songs on this CD and they're just lovely and relaxing to listen to. I lay back on my sofa or my bed and just listen to her voice, it never fails to bring me back into a happy, calm mood.

I also recently discovered an app on my phone that 'chills me out', it's an app called  Colorfy, It's pretty much a free colouring book for your phone! You get loads of different categories to choose from (even famous paintings) and you can share or save your finished masterpiece. 

Those are the four methods that make me feel content after a long, stressful day. I hope they help you too.
