DEATH ROW DINER

by - 15:18:00

I went for a meal with my boyfriend the other week at a place I recently found out about called 'Death Row Diner'. You can find this on Hope Street, it's actually in a basement and you have to walk down a set of dimly-lit stairs to get into it.

The only lights on were red lights from the signs on the walls (which gave the red tint to the Diner), little tiny laps on some of the tables and of course the lights in the kitchen and behind the bar.

The decor fit in with the whole theme so well, there were mugshot drawings, telephones, sayings and even the crucifix.

The menu was just printed on paper which was unusual (but also fit the theme so well), however, it did make me wonder how many they have to regularly print off as I can imagine the menus to get quite dirty and stained?

I was over the moon when I found out that they actually sell Cherry Coke (one of my current obsessions!), it even came with a little mason jar filled with ice which I thought was a lovely touch, I do love a good mason jar.

I ordered a 'Smoke Me' which was a double beef patty burger with cheese and pulled pork, oh my gosh it was perfect. I've had loads of burgers in my life (especially recently aha) and I honestly believe that this burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. I also got a side of 'Hot Pulled Hog Fries' which were lovely. The portions of food were actually quite big but very affordable! (also, did you notice that they added a little Chupa Chup into the burger?! How cute!)

I loved everything about this diner and I just can't wait to go back!

I can't recommend this place enough!
