BEING WHERE I'M MEANT TO BE

by - 11:00:00

I always find myself wondering if where I am is where I am supposed to be.

I used to be so sure about what I wanted to do with my life - I wanted to own my own day nursery, or at least manage one. I've worked in a few nurseries and I know now that that is definitely not what I want to do. That's not me, I couldn't cope with that.
Truth is, I don't know what I want to do with my life anymore, I'm feeling very lost.

I'm 22 on the 10th of this month and people keep telling me that I need to know now what I want to do, do I need to know?
I feel like I don't even know who I am anymore, I feel like I'm running out of time.

Do you know what you want to do?

  1. Babe, you're an amazing person and you know I love you loads so please don't take this the wrong way but... you need to stop worrying about what you want to do. It's okay to feel lost and not know what you want out of your life... what's meant to be will be and everything happens for a reason.

    1. Thank you lovely <3 It's more other people putting pressure on me to decide and get going, I'm happy trying out different things and testing waters to see where I want to be and what I want to do.

  2. I've just come across your blog whilst looking for vintage hairstyles and I don't usually comment on blogs but I felt compelled to respond to this post!

I'm 31 and I still don't know what I want to do, not really, and if you ask around I think few people actually do - but that's OK. That's what is fun about life - trying to find these things out. Some people are lucky and know from an early age what they want to do – they pursue it and that is their career for life. Others aren’t so. We change so much in life; what I wanted to do at 16, 21, 25 and now, are all completely different things.

My advice would be to try things out and not put yourself under so much pressure to figure out what you are meant to do with the rest of your life now. Give yourself permission to just try things out - we can be our own worst enemy sometimes.

    1. Thank you for your advice, I agree and I'm going to try out some things and see if they're what I want. I'm always putting pressure on myself, I think I need a break aha.
