EVENING SKINCARE ROUTINE

by - 11:00:00

My last skincare routine post was in July 2015 and my whole routine has changed completely, since then I have been switching and trying out new beauty products and I've finally found a routine that works for me and more importantly my skin.

I still no longer use face wipes, I don't like how they make my skin feel although I will use them as a last resort to remove my makeup if I run out of cleanser. My last skincare routine was pretty much full of Simple products, I no longer use them either! Yes they saved my skin and cleared it up a LOT but I don't feel like my skin needs them anymore. I've received quite a few of skincare products in goody bags from events that I have attended in the last year and I've found products that save my skin in ways that it needs saving - my routine now is like 90% products that I have received, including the best cleanser I have ever tried.

To remove my makeup I use Tropic Skincare's Smoothing Cleanser (I did a detailed review of this product which you can read HERE), I can see myself using this for years to come as it really is the holy grail of skincare products. I'm not going to say much about the product itself as I've just recently posted a detailed review on my blog.

I just put one pump of this on my hands and massage it into my face then I take a flannel/muslin cloth, run it under some warm water and wipe all the product (and makeup and dirt) off my face.

This product removes every little bit of makeup I have on, leaving behind the lovely scent of honey & lemon and leaving my face feeling so clean and cleansed. This product is also brilliant at clearing up blemishes!

This is the point in my evening skincare routine where I like to brush my teeth and just splash my face with some cold water.

Next up is toner, I currently use Elemis Balancing Lavender Toner which is amazing and smells like heaven. As you can tell by the photo, I am in desperate need of some more! I may try out something else though, so if you have any recommendations then let me know!

I basically just spray this over my face and pat it in with my hands or a cotton pad.

I am a HUGE fan of lavender and this is one my favourite lavender-scented products.

On to oil, I use MOA Aphrodite Facial Oil which is just wonderful. I use this on the dry parts of my face and leave it on overnight, it's also really good for sunburn when your skin starts to peel!

I put two drops onto my fingers using the little applicator, then I massage it into my skin.

This product smells wonderful and has done wonders for my skin, I highly recommend it.

I finish off my routine by applying some lip balm, I'm currently loving my Blistex Happy Lips in Mango.

Now I'm ready for bed.

What products do you use?
