***POSSIBLE SPOILERS - It's SO hard to review this book without giving away tiny spoilers, I have tried my best but it's me (If you know me you will know that I am the queen of accidental spoilers).***

This book definitely deserves a mention on my blog, I actually finished this book in under two days which I haven't done in a long while! This is the first book that I have read by Isla Morley and I can't wait to read more by her as I really enjoyed 'Above' and I love how she writes.

I bonded with the character of Blythe instantly and for obvious reasons I hated the character of Dobbs- if you have read this I'm sure this was your first opinion too! I loved how this book 'kicked in' right at the start, it gripped me from the very beginning and I just couldn't put it down.

This book reminded me of a lot of 'ROOM' by Emma Donoghue (which as we all know is one of my favourite books) but a post-apocalyptic version which is another thing that I love reading about.

On the back, it reads...

Blythe, a sixteen-year-old Kansas schoolgirl is abducted and kept in an abandoned silo by a survivalist, who is convinced that the world is about to end.
Struggling to survive, crushed by loneliness and the terrifying madness of her captor, Blythe resists the temptation to give up. Nothing, however, prepares her for the burden of having to raise a child in confinement.
Just when Blythe starts to believe that she may be confined to the silo for life, their lives are ambushed by one event that is at once promising and devastating...
Riveting and unforgettable, this is a beautifully written and compelling tale of survival, reinvention, and hope.'

OH MY GOSH, you really don't know what's going to happen. You just don't know.

I have a couple of unanswered questions which loses it a couple of points, but maybe I just missed it? I'll most likely re-read it in the near future anyway because the story was that good.

I do recommend this book to anyone who likes reading post-apocalyptic, survivalist books, also if you really enjoyed 'ROOM' you will defnitely enjoy this one.
